Reader Leaders! 📕📗📚

Our admin team got the sweetest surprise when a few of our students stopped by with hand-drawn pictures, and these smiles say it all. Moments like this remind us why we love what we do. ❤️📚

🎉📚 MVES Book Character Parade Success! 📚🎉
What an absolutely fantastic Friday we had celebrating literacy with our annual Book Character Parade! The halls of Meadow View Elementary were brought to life by the most creative and colorful book characters.
Our students did an incredible job dressing up as their favorite literary heroes and heroines, marching proudly with the books that inspired their amazing costumes. From classic stories to new adventures, the love for reading was truly on display!
Check out all the amazing photos from the parade! 📸

Our students and staff really brought the spirit with their dress-up days! Check out all the fun:
* Red Day: We showed that our Red Alert is on to be drug-free!
* Neon Day: Our future is bright and drug-free!
* Pajama Day: We celebrated the dream of a drug-free life!
* Team Colors Day: We are WARRIORS on the path to being drug-free!
* Hat Day: We put a cap on drugs!
Scroll through all the photos to see our awesome Warriors showing their commitment to being drug-free! ❤️

We loved celebrating kindergarten teacher Gracie Harrison as she gets ready to become Mrs. Atkins. It was such a sweet day with lots of love, laughs, and well-wishes. Congratulations, Gracie! We’re so excited for you!

Ms. Green and Mrs. Lawrence were the hit of 3rd grade on Halloween with their "six sevennnnn" jerseys 😂

🎪📚 That’s a wrap on the Greatest Book Fair of ALL! 🎉
Thanks to our amazing Meadow View community, we raised over $6,800 for our Library! ❤️
A huge THANK YOU to our parents, volunteers, teachers, and students for making this event such a success. Your support helps us fill our shelves with new books and keep the love of reading alive at MVES! 📖✨

We’d love to see our Meadow View families at our Parent Information Event coming up on Thursday, November 13.
This is a great chance to learn how you can support reading, math, and language growth at home, as well as hear more about the Alabama Literacy Act. Our Admin team and Instructional Coaches will be there to help answer questions and share resources.

Mrs. Jones’ 2nd grade class had a special guest reader — Jackson from 3rd grade, who earned this honor through his hard work and points! He was a student in her class last year, and everyone was so proud to welcome him back and cheer him on. Great job, Jackson! 📚👏

We had the sweetest time celebrating our 1st grade teacher, Anna Kate Mazingo — soon-to-be Mrs. Baker! 💍✨We are so excited for her and can’t wait to cheer her on as she enters this new season!
Congratulations, Anna Kate! 🤍

Ms. Lavender’s and Ms. Canaday’s 3rd grade classes wrapped up their Force and Motion unit with a hands-on flight test. Students researched, built, and launched their own paper airplanes, then measured each flight in yards and recorded their results in data charts. A fun way to bring science and math to life! ✈️📊

The Naborhood had the sweetest day ever! 🍎 Mrs. Nabors’ kindergarten class put their own twist on apple pie—by making it in a cup! From crushing up graham crackers to adding the whipped cream (cue the excited screams!), it was declared “the best day ever!” ❤️🥧

Mrs. Nabors’ kindergarten class kicked off their first science experiment of the year — making it “rain” from a cloud! Our young scientists had so much fun watching how rain falls from the clouds in the sky. 🌧️☁️🔬

The ESL Department's Coffee Trolley is always a hit! Especially when pre-k teacher, Mrs. Gray, makes her delightful pumpkin bread! 🎃☕️

📚💡 Our 2nd and 3rd graders have been busy exploring the nonfiction section in the library! From animals to outer space and everything in between, they loved discovering that reading for facts can be just as exciting as reading for fun. 🦋🌎🚀
We love seeing their curiosity come alive! 💛

Our amazing Pre-K teachers are spending a few days at the Alabama Early Childhood Education Conference at the BJCC! 🍎✨ They will came back full of new ideas, fresh inspiration, and even more love for helping our youngest learners grow and thrive. We’re so thankful for their dedication and passion for our little ones! ❤️👏
