This year, we’re rolling out Circool—a new, secure visitor and check-in system designed to make your school visits smoother and safer! 🎉

✅ Whether you’re visiting for lunch, checking in your student late, or coming to an event like Field Day, just show your Circool QR code when you arrive. You will scan it, verify your entry, and print your name badge—easy as that!

💡 Here’s what you need to do:

Make sure your email and phone number are updated in PowerSchool.

Look for your Circool activation email (sent July 25) with the subject line: "Alabaster City Schools invites you to Circool"

📱 New Statewide Cell Phone Policy for 2025-2026 📱 The FOCUS Act (Freeing Our Classrooms of Unnecessary Screens for Safety) goes into effect this school year. This new law requires all student devices—like phones, smartwatches, earbuds, and tablets—to be powered off and put away during the school day. At Meadow View, this means: ✅ Devices must be powered off and placed in a backpack or purse before entering the building. ✅ If students arrive late, devices must be turned off and stored before coming inside. ✅ Devices can be turned on again once students leave campus at the end of the day. These guidelines help keep our classrooms focused and free of distractions. We had a great first day at Engineering Camp with Mrs. Tomlin! The kids learned about different types of engineers-from civil to mechanical to aerospace! We jumped right into building their LEGO race cars. They tested ideas and made adjustments along the way! We had a blast!!

Second grade teachers, Mrs. Weaver and Mrs. Goggins, spent 5 days at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center attending the Space Academy for Educators. They completed an Aviation Challenge, multiple simulation missions, made and launched rockets, made new educator friends, heard from astronauts and NASA workers, and learned more about all things space and NASA to bring back to the classroom to be able to inspire the next generation. They had a blast and it was such a wonderful opportunity and experience!
