Mrs. Nabors' kindergarten class made Spoons of Thanks last week! Today on Thanksgiving, they will hold their sooon and tell what they are thankful for and then pass it around their table! 🦃

Mrs. Nabors’ kindergarten class enjoyed a fun Thanksgiving project inspired by Balloons Over Broadway. After reading the story, the students designed their own puppet balloons and chose backgrounds to bring them to life. They had the best time, and it was such a joy to watch their creativity shine.
We’re grateful for moments like these and the excitement our students bring to every activity. Happy Thanksgiving from MVES! 🦃💙

MVES wishes everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! We’re so grateful for our sweet students, their families, and the joy they bring to our school every day. We hope you all enjoy a warm, restful holiday with the people you love. 🦃🧡

We are so proud of our very own Mr. Grice, MVES’s itinerant art teacher! 🎨 Recently, he unveiled his latest masterpiece: Flamboyant Flamingo, a 7-foot-tall bronze sculpture at the Birmingham Zoo.
This whimsical piece — made in his signature imaginative style, complete with “mechanical” legs and rivets — shows how Mr. Grice brings the wonder of art to life in bold, joyful ways.
Beyond the statue, Mr. Grice’s passion for creativity inspires our students every day. We’re so grateful to have him sharing his talent, encouraging our kids, and making our school a more beautiful place.

Our students showed up cozy and ready to give! Everyone brought in boxes of mac-n-cheese to support our Manna Ministries drive, and they rocked their pajamas while doing it. Thanks to our families for helping us make a difference in our community!

Our kindergarten classes enjoyed a visit from Miss Annie! The lesson was called “More Than Moccasins”. She taught about native Americans and how they got food, using the whole animal and how the women made blankets and clothes after they used it for food. Such a fun time!

Mrs. Nabors' kindergarten class made pumpkin playdoh and pumpkin bread in the Naborhood!

Our ESL coffee trolley is always a huge hit! ☕️

We’re excited to share that Meadow View Elementary earned an amazing 97 on the Alabama State Department of Education Report Card! Our students, teachers, and staff work hard every day, and this score reflects that commitment.
Thank you to our families and community for always supporting our school. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together!

Bring a box of mac-n-cheese for our Manna Ministries Mac-N-Cheese Drive any day this week and you can wear pajamas on Friday, 11/21! Thank you for helping us support Manna Ministries!!

Dylan from Mrs. Harris' kindergarten class received a positive office referral for always being a leader in their classroom! He always helps others and is a positive role model! 👏🏻

We’re getting into the thankful spirit here at MVES! 🦃🍁 Looks like even our hallway friends are ready to celebrate Thanksgiving! ❤️
