Homecoming Week day 2- Homecoming Heroes! 🦸♀️ 🦸♂️

Mrs. Toy and Mrs. Durrett’s 2nd graders classes learned so many new skills last week during their swim lessons at the Alabaster YMCA 🏊🏊🏻♀️

We are so proud of Hattie and her positive office referral! She gave away all of her classroom dollars so that another student could shop! Her first grade teacher, Mrs. Fike said that was a very selfless act and we totally agree 🥰

Last week, our International Coffee Trolley deliveries started up again! Our amazing ESL teachers head up this fun weekly event. Teachers and staff are able to order coffee, snacks and treats. Then, on Fridays, our ESL students are able to deliver the items and learn English in a fun and meaningful way! ☕️

Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Colburn, gave Aria a positive office referral! She said she is a great friend to all of her classmates, helps friends without being asked and is a positive role model for her friends! Great job! 💕

Our second graders had a fun time at Thompson Middle School today for the Liberty Learning Foundation kickoff! Our students are participating in the Super Citizen Program that teaches them about civics, character, financial literacy, career exploration and personal responsibility. We are so excited for all they will learn throughout this program! 🇺🇸

🌟📚✨ In Ms. Mazingo’s 1st grade class, her superstar students took on high-frequency words with so much enthusiasm and teamwork! In their small groups, they turned learning into a fun adventure—matching words, creating stories, and cheering each other on. 🎉👫👬 Their smiles and excitement make us so proud! Keep shining, little word wizards! 🌟💫
