TIS rocked their green today in support of Mental Health Awareness! 💚 Together, we’re raising awareness, spreading kindness, and reminding everyone that mental health matters.

Tomorrow we are celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month!! Wear green to stand for the cause!! Warrior Green Out Day!!

Our 5th grade science classes explored the garden to discover and identify the biotic and abiotic elements that make up our environment! 🌱🔎

Mrs. O. Horton’s class took learning beyond the classroom with a fun trip to Domino’s and the park! 🍕🌳 Students explored fractions in real life by slicing up pizzas and applying their math skills during hands-on activities. Learning has never been so delicious—or so much fun!

Free Breakfast coming to Alabaster City Schools! Starting this Friday, May 1st, all Alabaster City School students can eat breakfast at no cost everyday. This grant will allow breakfast at no cost through the 2026-2027 school year! Tomorrow 5/1, the menu for TIS is: Glazed donut w/ oatmeal and yogurt cup OR, cereal & toast bar W/ assorted fruit, milk, juice

Happy Earth Day! This week at TIS, our students explored the history of Earth Day and the importance of protecting our planet. 🌎 In STEAM, they learned about the 2010 oil spill and its impact on ecosystems, then brought their learning to life with a hands-on experiment simulating an oil spill. Using dish soap, they discovered how science helps clean and protect wildlife. Also, shoutout to Ms. Engles class for giving ways to help our planet! We’re so proud of our students for growing into thoughtful environmental stewards! 💚

Our Student Council had the opportunity to serve our community at Manna Ministries!
