Happy Earth Day! This week at TIS, our students explored the history of Earth Day and the importance of protecting our planet. 🌎 In STEAM, they learned about the 2010 oil spill and its impact on ecosystems, then brought their learning to life with a hands-on experiment simulating an oil spill. Using dish soap, they discovered how science helps clean and protect wildlife. Also, shoutout to Ms. Engles class for giving ways to help our planet! We’re so proud of our students for growing into thoughtful environmental stewards! 💚

As we celebrate Assistant Principals Week, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank Mrs. Traywick and Mrs. Carlee, our wonderful assistant principals!! Their commitment, care, and support for both students and staff each day, does not go unnoticed. They both play such an important role in making our school a positive and successful place for everyone! Mrs. McClain’s math classes did math problem using chalk this week!! They showed some strong work 💪🏽

Mrs. Walton’s classes had a Math Celebration today to recognize their hard work and perseverance in winning the Race to 8 challenge (getting 1 trophy on Exact Path every week for 8 weeks leading up to ACAP)!!! The students got to enjoy their own “dirty sodas”, wear pajamas and enjoy fellowship time with each other!!

Tomorrow our 4th graders start their ACAP testing! We know our 4th graders are going to shine bright!! ✨🌟✨

Miss Lowery’s class celebrated finishing the ELA ACAP today by doing a dirty soda party! How fun! 🤩
