Ms. Simmons' 1st grade class used pictures of the moon to create moon tracker guides! These guides will help them figure out when the next full moon will be. 🌕

Lots of fun going on in Art 🎨 with Mrs. McMurray! Kindergarteners are learning how to cut✂ and glue carefully while 1st graders are making texture rubbings!

MVES is definitely one groovy school! We love it here! 🤗

Get ready for a fun Homecoming Week! Here are the dress up days for the week of 9/23-9/27. Go Warriors! ❤️🖤

Look at Brielle! 😍Her 1st grade teacher, Ms. Mazingo, said that she was so encouraging to a friend who didn't believe in themselves. She told them, "you got this, believe in yourself!" Let's all be like Brielle and encourage our friends when they need it! ❤️

Attendance matters!
Ms. Bearden's 3rd grade class wrapped up a week of studying "The Origami Master" in Reading. To celebrate, students created their own origami dogs, birds, and jumping frogs!

Attention all 3rd Graders! Priority Kids starts this Friday, September 6th at 7 am in the MVES gym! If you ride the bus to school, come as soon as you get off the bus. We will dismiss at 7:30am for you to go get your breakfast. You must have a signed permission slip to attend. It is going to be so much fun!
Emmy, from Mrs. Jones's 2nd grade class, is a Lexia Superstar! Keep up the hard work! 🥳

We are so proud of Knox and his positive office referral. His bus driver, Ms. Mary, said that he helped a new student on the bus by being a great friend and helping go over the rules. Way to be an example, Knox!

Mrs. Jones's 2nd grade class had a fun week of swim lessons at the YMCA 🏊🏼🏊🏻♀️

Ms. Cushing's 3rd grade class had so much fun at their Class Book Testing 🍩📚📖

Mrs. Toy's class having fun in Steam Lab with Mrs. Simmons!

Book Tasting and lots of learning going on in Mrs. Lawrence's 3rd grade class! 📚📖

Amazing things really do happen here at MVES! ❤️🖤

Mrs. Connell's second grade class is learning in groups about Text Features!

Mrs. Williams's first grade class had an amazing time with our science project, "Can You See It Now?" We dove into the Scientific Method by crafting a question and hypothesis. 🤔🔬
Our experiment? We wanted to see if we could write a secret message with lemon juice and then make it visible! 🍋✉️ After writing our messages, we applied heat and watched in awe as our hidden notes magically appeared! 🔥✨
Science is so much fun when you get to see your experiments come to life! 🧪🎉

We are so proud of Ethan and his Positive Office Referral! Mrs. Nabors said he is always helping and looking out for his friends 😍
