Peeps Day in the Naborhood was a success! The winner of the taste test in Mrs. Nabors' 1st grade class was the Dr. Pepper flavor. They said it was the best day ever! They built houses with Peeps, tasted some different flavors, did some Peep math and a Peep science experiment. They also wrote a poem about Peeps and bunnies.

Ms. Lavender's 3rd grade class finished reading "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and celebrated finishing it and ACAP with a Wonka Party! 🎉🥳
They rotated in multiple stations to play math and reading review games where they designed their own factories using area and perimeter, solved riddles by decoding and identified character traits on posters for each character.
They ended the day with the movie and taste testing different treats from Willy Wonka’s factory.🍫




Someone invaded Ms. Simmons' 1st grade classroom while they were at lunch and destroyed their Easter basket! Luckily, they left some clues and they were able to figure out who the culprit was! 🐰









Mrs. Stanfa's 1st grade class had a special reader.. Mrs. Stanfa's son, Ryder, who is a 3rd grader at MVES! ❤️🖤

The Naborhood made it rain! 🌧️ Mrs. Nabors' 1st grade class predicted how many drops and then counted how many it actually took to make rain! They learned that if you spread out your drops it took more drops to make it rain. ☔️





Mrs. Gardner’s 3rd grade class celebrated “Hitting ACAP out of the Park!” with Ballpark Concessions. 🍿🌭

Mrs. Harris’ 1st grade class did some fun little Easter egg activities! They worked on their fluency by finding the matching sentence phrases & scooping them with their partner. They also worked on fact fluency by finding the answers to equations! 🐣

What a special day at the Special Olympics!
On Friday, April 11, our Meadow View students joined with Alabaster City Schools for an unforgettable day of encouragement, celebration, and competition. We are incredibly proud of our students who represented MVES with heart, determination, and joy!
