We would like to give a huge congratulations to our Teacher of the Year, 3rd grade teacher, Ms. Cushing and our Support Person of the Year, secretary, Ms. Gossett!
Ms. Cushing has only been at MVES for a few years but has already made such an impact on many students. She is an amazing teacher and makes sure every student feels included, special and important. Her classroom is full of learning and fun activities! She is loved by all of her colleagues as well and we couldn’t be more proud of her!
Ms. Gossett has been with MVES since the doors of the school were opened! She is vital to the day to day operation of our school and she keeps the school running like a well oiled machine! She knows all of the things and we are so thankful she is part of our team!
Congratulations to both of these special women, we love you both! We hope you both know how important you are to MVES!

Mrs. Wade’s 2nd grade class wrapped up the study on glaciers by creating glacier gak! We watched how it can move at different speeds and pick up things along its path. We related this to how glaciers move and change the surface of the Earth. We ended it with yummy glacier snack!

Mrs. Wade’s 2nd grade class was busy using their engineering minds to make monster traps, spider web bridges, and then played a competitive game of memory with our doubles facts!

Mrs. Bull’s 2nd grade class learned about counting collections during math this week! They were working on grouping/counting by 10s to be more efficient.

Pre-k listened to Mrs. Gray read “There Was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Bat” and made a special Halloween recipe for Snack!

Mrs. Thrasher’s 2nd grade class had an exciting book tasting this week! They had so much fun exploring different genres📚
