Students in Mrs. Fikes 1st grade class worked collaboratively to create a Noun Town! They also engaged in a write the room activity to reinforce phonics skills in a fun way. Students are beginning to take ownership of their own learning!

Fun Friday in Mrs. Bull’s 2nd grade class consisted of building barricades for their Matter Unit in science! The kids planned and created their barricades. On Monday, they will test them to see if they hold water on one side of the container or if they need to make modifications to their experiments.
Mrs. Goggins’ 2nd grade class has been learning about arrays using columns and rows! They are using repeated addition to find the total amount of counters in each array. ✖️➗➕

We’re working together to make sure all kids show up and participate every day possible. Being in school supports students’ social, emotional and physical well-being, and provides students with opportunities to learn and reach for their dreams. Mavis received the first Sunshine Award in Mrs. Nabors' Kindergarten class. She let her light shine by helping a friend clean up something that fell. She got a sunshine sticker and a sunshine stuffy to keep with her all day. ☀️
