The Thompson High School Harmonettes had the honor of performing at the Alabama State Capitol on February 19th. The Harmonettes, led under the direction of Thompson High School choir director Mr. Tyler Jones, performed as part of the Capitol Tunes series, which is a project between the Alabama State Department of Education, the Alabama Music Educators Association and the Alabama Institute for Education in the Arts.
The Harmonettes' performed in the rotunda of the State Capitol, with the performance attended by State Superintendent of Education, Dr. Eric Mackey & Alabama State Treasurer Young Boozer.
