Students at Thompson High School got a first hand look at career internship opportunities from the Alabama Cast Iron Pipe Company.
Leaders with ACIPCO showed their "Foundry in a Box" program. Not only did students have the chance to explore career opportunities, they also had the opportunity to leader about the foundry and metal casting industry.
Students were able to get hands-on experience by pouring melted tin into molds, giving them a firsthand look at the engineering and manufacturing processes behind metal casting.
