Christmas Apparel Calendar!
Thanksgiving Break begins now! Enjoy the break and we will see everyone back on 12/1!

We are so proud of our very own Mr. Grice, MVES’s itinerant art teacher! 🎨 Recently, he unveiled his latest masterpiece: Flamboyant Flamingo, a 7-foot-tall bronze sculpture at the Birmingham Zoo.
This whimsical piece — made in his signature imaginative style, complete with “mechanical” legs and rivets — shows how Mr. Grice brings the wonder of art to life in bold, joyful ways.
Beyond the statue, Mr. Grice’s passion for creativity inspires our students every day. We’re so grateful to have him sharing his talent, encouraging our kids, and making our school a more beautiful place.

Our students showed up cozy and ready to give! Everyone brought in boxes of mac-n-cheese to support our Manna Ministries drive, and they rocked their pajamas while doing it. Thanks to our families for helping us make a difference in our community!

Our kindergarten classes enjoyed a visit from Miss Annie! The lesson was called “More Than Moccasins”. She taught about native Americans and how they got food, using the whole animal and how the women made blankets and clothes after they used it for food. Such a fun time!

Mrs. Nabors' kindergarten class made pumpkin playdoh and pumpkin bread in the Naborhood!

Our ESL coffee trolley is always a huge hit! ☕️

We’re excited to share that Meadow View Elementary earned an amazing 97 on the Alabama State Department of Education Report Card! Our students, teachers, and staff work hard every day, and this score reflects that commitment.
Thank you to our families and community for always supporting our school. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together!

Bring a box of mac-n-cheese for our Manna Ministries Mac-N-Cheese Drive any day this week and you can wear pajamas on Friday, 11/21! Thank you for helping us support Manna Ministries!!

Dylan from Mrs. Harris' kindergarten class received a positive office referral for always being a leader in their classroom! He always helps others and is a positive role model! 👏🏻

We’re getting into the thankful spirit here at MVES! 🦃🍁 Looks like even our hallway friends are ready to celebrate Thanksgiving! ❤️

Sweet ESL Coffee Trolley friends with 3rd grade teacher, Ms. Cushing! ☕️☕️

After learning about why leaves change color and fall during autumn, Ms. Canaday’s 3rd grade class made colorful leaf imprints using leaves collected from outside! 🍁🍂

So proud of Wilson from Mrs. Ellis' 1st grade class for receiving a positive office referral! 👏🏻

Thank you to all the families who joined us for our Parent Information Event this morning!
We spent time talking through ways to support reading, math, and language at home, and our instructional team shared helpful tips and resources. It was a relaxed morning with good conversations (and donuts), and we loved seeing so many parents invested in their child’s learning.
We’re grateful for our Meadow View families and appreciate everyone who took the time to come.

Hadley from Mrs. Brasfield's kindergarten class received a positive office referral! She has been super helpful to a friend who broke their foot and had to use a wheelchair. She has such a kind heart and is so selfless! 🩷

Today we celebrate World Kindness Day! The day serves as a reminder to prioritize compassion in our lives. It encourages individuals and communities to go beyond their routines and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
