Mrs. Harris’ kindergarten class has enjoyed learning about apples! They tasted green, yellow and red apples and graphed their favorite. Then, they tasted apple juice and apple cider, and even made apple pie in a cup! Finally, they learned all about the parts of an apple and dissected them to see how many seeds each apple had! We love how they used their senses to help them learn!

🎪📚 Step right up—it’s almost time for the MVES Book Fair!
Come one, come all to the greatest book fair of all!
Join us next week, October 27–31, for a week full of fun and fantastic books.
Students will shop with their class, and parents are welcome to come during their child’s shopping time.
Every purchase helps support our school library, so thank you for helping us keep the love of reading alive! ❤️

MVES is collecting boxed macaroni and cheese to benefit Manna Ministries' holiday boxes! Help us out by bringing in any non-perishable mac n' cheese and dropping them in the collection bins in the lobby. We will be collecting the mac n' cheese through Friday, November 21st.
Manna Ministries is a non-profit food bank just down the street from MVES. They serve over 600+ families from our local area each week. Please help us in providing meals with Manna Ministries this holiday season.

Today was a special day at MVES! 🇺🇸
We were honored to welcome Alabama State Representative Kenneth Paschal to campus as he presented Meadow View Elementary with our official America250 Alabama Semiquincentennial flag and a letter of commendation. This recognition celebrates our participation in the statewide initiative leading up to the 250th birthday of the United States in 2026.
Representative Paschal presented the flag to our 3rd Grade Principal’s Advisory Board, who proudly accepted it on behalf of our students, staff, and school community. We appreciate Representative Paschal for taking the time to visit MVES and for supporting public education and student leadership.
At Meadow View, we work to develop confident learners, responsible citizens, and future leaders—and today was a meaningful reminder of the importance of civic pride and community involvement. 🇺🇸
