Our ESL kiddos had a mock election today! They learned about the process of voting and how often the president runs for. They also discussed vocabulary words related to elections. The candidates were Dog, Fox, and Unicorn. Unicon won by only 2 votes!

🎃🌱 Second graders in Ms. Hudson's class had a blast with their pumpkin seed counting collections! 🌱🎃
Students carefully scooped, sorted, and counted seeds from pumpkins of all shapes and sizes – and discovered a surprising twist: the smallest pumpkin actually had the most seeds! 🌟
They also explored a cool science fact: the longer a pumpkin stays on the vine, the more seeds it produces! 🍂🧠 This hands-on activity sparked tons of curiosity and helped students practice their counting skills while learning about plant life cycles. 📈🌱
Way to go, Ms. Hudson's class! 🎉 Keep up the great learning!

A HUGE Thank You to our Wonderful Red Ribbon Week Guest Speakers!

Thank you Mr. Nathan Smitherman for starting off our Red Ribbon Week with a talk on Alcohol.
Red Ribbon Week is an annual awareness campaign in the United States that aims to prevent violence, drugs, tobacco, smoking, and alcohol. It takes place in October and started in 1985 as a tribute to DEA special agent Enrique Camerena who died in the line of duty.
