Students in Mrs. Dollar’s classes got a fur-rific surprise when Reagan, the school’s beloved facility dog, paid a special visit to help kick off a new writing assignment.

Serving as the ultimate inspiration, Reagan dropped by to help students practice their inferencing skills for a CRE writing assignment centered around a fun mystery: What’s inside Reagan’s bag? By making observations, looking for clues, and using background knowledge, students put their critical thinking to work to figure out what essential items a hard-working facility dog carries around each day.

With his soft cream coat, gentle personality, and calm presence, Reagan made learning interactive, engaging, and unforgettable. TMS students left class with big smiles, great notes, and plenty of tail-wagging inspiration for their assignment!
