Thompson Middle School

An AI-powered companion robot will soon be roaming the classrooms of Thompson Middle School as part of an exciting new language-learning initiative. ACS has been selected as one of only five educational institutions nationwide to receive the 2025 Telo AI Immersive Language Learning MicroGrant, recognizing innovative approaches to language acquisition. Secured during EdTech Week through a proposal submitted by Federal Programs Supervisor and District Test Coordinator Dr. Brent Byars, the grant will support English Learner (EL) students through immersive, interactive practice. The award includes a full-year TeloAI subscription for ESL, French, and Spanish, along with the TelOne Teacher Dashboard offering AI-driven insights into student growth and engagement.
