students with toys

ALABASTER, Ala. — Students at Thompson Middle School have once again demonstrated the power of teamwork and generosity. After working together for several weeks, members of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and the Girls Rock STEM Club successfully delivered $1,350 worth of toys to the Marines for their annual holiday Toys for Tots drive.

This year’s donation marks a significant achievement—surpassing last year’s total by $250. The accomplishment reflects the dedication of the students, the support of the school community, and the enthusiasm surrounding the project.

Club representatives expressed their gratitude to everyone who contributed. Mr. Wilbanks stated that they want to extend “a heartfelt thank you to all who bought toys and/or donated money to help us buy toys!”

The partnership between NJHS and Girls Rock STEM continues to grow, and the students hope to inspire even more participation in future service projects as they work together to make a positive impact in their community. NJHS sponsors are Mr. Wilbanks and Mrs. Sawyer. Girls Rock STEM Club is sponsored by Ms. Webb.
