Alabaster, AL — Thompson Middle School has been honored as an official Alabama Semiquincentennial School, a prestigious destinction recognizing the school’s commitment to celebrating and educating students about the upcoming 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
As part of this exciting recognition, TMS is launching a Semiquincentennial Club to engage students in learning about the history, values, and legacy of the United States. The club will organize special activities, projects, and events leading up to the nation's 250th birthday in 2026.
An interest meeting for all students who would like to be a part of this historic effort will be held on Thursday, October 16th, in the school auditorium at 7:15am. Students must have a pass to attend the meeting. Passes can be picked up from Ms. Rhodes in the student office.
