Dismissal just got a little more fun at school today! Mrs. Glass and our admin brought the laughs as they led the kids out as crabs! 🦀

Mrs. Layton’s 5th grade class took their learning outside today! They worked together to decode a mysterious message from "The City of Ember"—just like the characters in the book!

Mrs. Lancaster’s class had a blast exploring measurements! Students worked together to measure various objects around the classroom, putting their math skills to work in a fun and hands-on way!

We couldn’t let today end without thanking the true superheroes of the TIS front office — Emily and Nidia! From hunting down subs to juggling 12 things at once, you keep this place from falling apart (and somehow do it with a smile). Happy Administrative Professionals Day to the queens of calm in a sea of chaos!

A huge THANK YOU to Mrs. Meyers for heading Sprout Scouts and inspiring our young environmentalists. Happy Earth Day! 🌍 🌎 🌏

4th graders have had a blast line dancing this week in PE!

Ms. Horton’s 4th grade class went on an egg-citing Easter egg hunt—each egg held a clue to help them solve fill-in-the-blank questions using this week’s vocabulary words! 🥚 🐣

We are so proud of our 4th grader, Stella Hall, for receiving the Character in Action Award tonight!
The students selected for the Character in Action Awards are chosen based upon their demonstrations of exemplary character in the areas of respect, self-discipline, responsibility, citizenship, friendship, fairness, perseverance and courage—and Stella truly embodies all of these qualities. Stella takes initiative in the classroom and in Kindness Crew to step out of her comfort zone and promote kindness and positivity. Stella views challenges not as obstacles but opportunities to learn and grow. Stella is always inclusive, making sure no one feels left out and everyone has a friend to lean on. Stella’s courtesy and genuine care for others makes her standout in any group.
Congratulations, Stella! Your heart and character inspire us all.

A big THANK YOU to Tim Mitchell's EXP Realty for creating joy with the snack cart!

A big thank you to Little B’s Soaps for providing a delicious breakfast for our faculty and staff at TIS! Little B’s Soaps is proudly owned and operated by one of our very own—Brenleigh Turner, a 4th grader at TIS, along with her dad, Josh. We’re so proud of our young entrepreneurs and grateful for their kindness and support!
