This week our STEAM class got a little “foamy” as we explored the exciting world of chemical reactions with the famous Elephant Toothpaste experiment.
Our young scientist learned about catalyst, exothermic reactions, and the breakdown of hydrogen peroxide, all while creating a giant bubbly eruption that wowed us.

Thank you to all our upcoming 4th graders and their families for coming out tonight to tour TIS! We loved getting to meet you and can’t wait to see you in August!

Cutest Surprise of the Day!
Mrs. Lancaster’s students pulled off the sweetest surprise this afternoon—a baby shower just for her! Complete with decorations, gifts, and plenty of giggles, it was a joyful celebration for the mom-to-be!

We had a great visit from Edmentum today!
Their team observed the of our classrooms in action and hosted a Q&A session with our students. It was a valuable opportunity for our learners to ask questions, share their experiences, and connect with education professionals!

Mrs. Bullard’s class worked in convention stations today.
Students drew two random simple sentences and combined them into compound sentences. They also learned how to enhance their writing by adding appositive phrases. It was a fun and engaging way to sharpen their grammar skills!

Ms. Walton’s classes got to take their measurement skills outdoors today, proving that Math isn’t just for the classroom!

Today we celebrated the well-deserved retirement of six incredible educators: Mrs. Vann, Mrs. McClain, Mrs. Ward, Mrs. McGaughy, Mrs. Blackman, and Mrs. Mitchell! Their dedication, passion, and years of service have made a lasting impact on our school community. We wish them all the best in this exciting new chapter!

Ms. Engles’ 4th grade Social Studies class is wrapping up the school year with an exciting project—researching and presenting on famous Alabamians!
