The 4th and 5th grade years are such a special time of growth, and it’s the dedicated educators here at Thompson Intermediate School who make that journey so rewarding. This past week, our hallways were buzzing with extra excitement as we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week!

A Daily Dose of Thanks

Our incredible TIS PTO went above and beyond to organize a week full of surprises. Thanks to their careful planning and the generosity of our local sponsors, every day was a celebration:

  • Monday: We kicked things off with a burst of energy! Unity Christian Center provided a fantastic spread of snacks and personalized goodie bags to start the week strong.

  • Tuesday: The scent of fresh coffee filled the air thanks to Tom’s Coffee, keeping our staff caffeinated and ready for a busy day of learning.

  • Wednesday: Things were "popping" mid-week with a gourmet popcorn bar supplied by Publix—the perfect afternoon pick-me-up for our hardworking team.

  • Thursday: Creativity was in full bloom! Hoover Florist supplied a beautiful variety of flowers, allowing our teachers to "build their own bouquets" to brighten their classrooms and homes.

  • Friday: We ended the week on a high note with a delicious lunch catered by Maya Mexican Restaurant.

The true heart of the week came from our 4th and 5th graders. Each morning, our students showed up in a big way, bringing in daily gifts, favorite treats, and heartfelt drawings.

Whether it was a handmade card or a small snack brought from home, these daily acts of kindness reminded our staff why they love teaching at TIS.

To Our Sponsors and PTO

We want to extend a massive Thank You to the businesses and organizations that supported us. Your contributions did more than just provide food and gifts; they showed our staff that the community stands firmly behind them.

Most importantly, a huge shout-out to the TIS PTO. Your coordination, late nights, and heart for our school are what made this week such a seamless success.
