On Thursday, August 18th, our school hosted the 5th Grade Parent Academy, an engaging and informative event designed to help families prepare for the year ahead. Parents and guardians had the opportunity to learn more about the 5th grade curriculum, classroom expectations, and important resources to support student success throughout the school year.
Following the academy, families were also invited to attend a DC informational meeting, which provided additional details and answered questions for those interested in learning more about the trip. Both sessions offered valuable insights to ensure a strong start to the year and to strengthen the partnership between home and school.
If you were unable to attend, don’t worry! Homeroom teachers will be sharing the presentation slides in their newsletters this week so that all families can stay informed.
We are grateful to the families who joined us and look forward to a fantastic year of growth, learning, and collaboration in 5th grade!
