jumping into summer

As the school year wrapped up, students at Thompson Intermediate were treated to exciting and heartfelt celebrations that brought the year to a joyful close. Both 4th and 5th graders enjoyed events tailored to honor their hard work, friendships, and achievements—making for an unforgettable end to the year.

Fourth graders celebrated with festive classroom parties, where each room came alive with decorations, snacks, games, and music. Teachers and students reflected on a year of learning and growth while enjoying a relaxed, cheerful time together. The parties offered a fun way for students to bond and mark the end of another successful school year.

5th graders experienced a special send-off as they prepared to move on to middle school. Their celebration was packed with hands-on activities and high-energy fun. Students got creative making bracelets and keychains—personal keepsakes to remember their elementary school days. A Kona Ice truck rolled in for a refreshing treat, and the day was topped off with Minute-to-Win-It games that had everyone laughing, competing, and cheering each other on.

The 4th grade parties created a sense of community, and the 5th grade celebration gave our oldest students a meaningful and fun way to say peace out 5th grade!.

From classroom parties to Kona Ice smiles, the final days of school were filled with joy, reflection, and celebration. Both grades ended the year strong—ready for summer and the adventures ahead.
