Thirty-four juniors and seniors wrapped up a year-long AP Research course in April, presenting and defending in-depth investigations on topics such as education, media, and social issues to a panel of educators. Teacher Crystal Lamar praised their work as "doctoral-level" and hopes to see more students take this path of study.

THS TV program recently celebrated major success at the annual SkillsUSA State Championships held in Mobile. Two THS teams earned top-three finishes in the highly competitive Video Production category, with students Ashlynn Carrell and Naomi Thomas taking 2nd place, and Gray Vandervort and Nolan Butler placing 3rd. In addition to the competition wins, junior Kaelci Theuri was elected as a SkillsUSA state officer — only the second Thompson student to earn this prestigious leadership role. Congrats to all!
