Meadow View Elementary’s annual Boosterthon was a success, raising $41,248 to support new recess opportunities for students. After expressing a desire for more outdoor activities, student input drove plans for new play centers on the K–1 playground and the exploration of additional upgrades for the upper-grade playground. This year’s fundraiser will bring those ideas closer to reality, enhancing play and creativity for all Meadow View learners.
All the student-centered excitement culminated this fall with Meadow View Elementary's annual Fun Run (September 26). Every student, from Pre-K through third grade, took to the track for Meadow View's biggest event of its school year. Cheered on by community volunteers, high school peer helpers, teachers, and staff, students completed laps surrounded by music, bright signs, and school spirit. Along the way, they enjoyed character education lessons focused on curiosity, resilience, courage, teamwork, and humility, and top-earning classes celebrated their efforts with a pizza party.
The success of the Boosterthon was made possible through Meadow View’s partnership with the Boosterthon team. This team of parents, faculty, and community volunteers collaborates each year to source prizes and orchestrate all aspects of Boosterthon. Behind the scenes, Mrs. Terri Williams, the school bookkeeper, and the school’s TAs worked tirelessly to ensure all logistics fell into place. Their dedication helped create another memorable Boosterthon experience for the Meadow View community.
