This week’s Staff Spotlight goes to Mrs. Kristen Minton, computer teacher!
1. What inspired you to pursue a career in education?
I wanted to help children be successful and reach their full potential goals.
2. What’s your favorite part of working with students?
My favorite part of working with children is to see their joy of learning.
3. If you weren’t in education, what do you think you’d be doing?
If I weren't in Education, I would love to be a Travel Agent or Wedding planner.
4. What’s one thing you love most about our school community?
I love how the community supports all of the different organizations within our schools. I love hearing "Hey. Ms. Minton" or getting a hug when I am out about the community.
5. Is there a particular moment in the school year you look forward to each year?
I love watching the "Parade of Graduates", such a special time for the Seniors.
6. Do you have any hobbies or hidden talents?
I love spending time with friends and family, listening to music, shopping, and reading. I am good at remembering dates and random trivia.
7. What’s something people would be surprised to learn about you?
I have a phobia about clowns and bridges.
8. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I have always wanted to travel to Ireland. It just looks so beautiful.
9. What’s a food you can never say no to?
I can not say no to spicy foods or chips and dip.
