Our Spotlight this weeks goes to Mrs. Sandi Lovett, Child Nutrition Program Assistant Manager.
1. What inspired you to pursue a career in education?
I love being in the line of education because I enjoy being a part of the students lives and making sure they know they are important and loved.
2. What’s your favorite part of working with students?
My favorite part of working with students is knowing I can make a difference in their day. Sometimes we are the only smiling faces they see.
3. If you weren’t in education, what do you think you’d be doing?
I can’t think of anything I would rather be doing than working in the cafeteria and seeing the students everyday. Not to mention, I work with an amazing group of ladies.
4. Do you have any professional goals you’re working on this year?
My professional goal would be to stay consistent and true to myself and strive daily to be who God has meant for me to be.
5. What’s one thing you love most about our school community?
The one thing I love most about our school community is that the support and love for the students is evident. All 5 of my children went through the school system and it is home to me.
6. Is there a particular moment in the school year you look forward to each year?
The time of the school year I look most forward to is the beginning of the school year. The students come in not sure of what is ahead and we have to responsibility of making sure they know they are safe and in a happy place.
7. Do you have any hobbies or hidden talents?
I enjoying being outdoors and spending time with my family.
8. What’s something people would be surprised to learn about you?
I have a degree in Early Elementary Education and I am very spontaneous.
9. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Jerusalem, historical importance of Jesus’ life.
10. What’s a food you can never say no to?
Hot Wings!
