Thirty-four juniors and seniors wrapped up a year-long AP Research course in April, presenting and defending in-depth investigations on topics such as education, media, and social issues to a panel of educators. Teacher Crystal Lamar praised their work as "doctoral-level" and hopes to see more students take this path of study.

ACS National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) inducted 60 new pledges at Thompson Middle School in early May. Current 8th grade members tapped in new 7th grade members, signifying the honor of membership into the NJHS. Officers from 24-25 are President Landon Burgess, Vice President Harper Scheller, Treasurer Alianna Qaqish, and Secretary Gigi Seaborn. Faculty sponsors: Michael Wilbanks and Kimberly Sawyer.
