THS Band and Orchestra Students had another fantastic showing in the Alabama All-State Jazz Band and Alabama All-State Orchestra Auditions this year! In auditions that included participants throughout the entirety of the state of Alabama, we had 6 students make the All-State Jazz Band and 8 students make the All-State Orchestra! This is an incredible accomplishment for these students, and we are so proud!!

Alabaster City Schools (ACS) was well-represented at the 2023 Southeast ACT Conference as members of the Curriculum & Instruction Department delivered a presentation on how to foster an "ACT culture" in a school system. ACS employees Kristen Westwood, Jill Thomas, Megan Blackmon, and Amanda Wilbanks presented "Multi-Perspectives on Creating a Prevalent ACT Culture: From the District to the Student" before an audience comprised of educators from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Representatives from ACT were in attendance, as well.
