Alabaster City Schools will host two public budget hearings for the upcoming fiscal year at the Alabaster City Schools Board Room, located at 2013 Warrior Parkway, Alabaster, AL 35007. The first hearing is scheduled for Monday, August 10, 2026, at 5:00 PM, and the second hearing is scheduled for Monday, September 14, 2026, also at 5:00 PM.
Administrators and instructional coaches gathered today to analyze data and to plan for the upcoming year. Always striving to grow forward!

Thompson High School's Kimberly Rojas Aguilar won Best in Sculpture at the 2026 Alabama High School Juried Art Show this past weekend. Just being selected to be in the state-wide juried show is an honor in itself. Of the over 500 submissions only 70 were chosen to be displayed in the Shelby County Arts Council gallery. Kimberly was recognized for her Best in Sculpture award at the closing ceremony held on Sunday, April 26th.

ACS hosted an ARi Teaching and Learning Meeting focused on strengthening literacy instruction beyond grade 3!
Thank you to Thompson Alum, Alex Carter who came and spoke to our Engineering classes today! Alex is a Project Manager with Sain Associates. We are thankful to learn more from the industry with his visit.

This weekend, the Girls Rock STEM Club had an amazing conference at Thompson High School!





Thompson High School Art Students recently took part in the first annual University of Montevallo Invitational. Lexi Porteous won First Place for her colored pencil drawing, Be Merry and Shine Bright. Brandon Hooper received Honorable Mention for his graphite drawing entitled Bullet Proof Determination.
