Alabaster City Schools was proudly represented at the 2025-2026 Shelby County Chamber Student and Educator of the Year Luncheon, where several outstanding students and educators were recognized for their achievements and dedication.
Thompson High School student Kaelci Theuri earned one of the event’s highest honors, being named the Future Leader Standout of the Year for all of Shelby County. In addition to this recognition, Kaelci was also named a Distinguished Standout of the Year nominee, highlighting her leadership, academic excellence, and impact within the school community.
Also representing Thompson High School, Gracie Mixon was recognized as a Career Tech Standout nominee for her accomplishments and commitment to career technical education.
Creek View Elementary School’s Tami McCarver was selected as the Elementary School Educator of the Year for all of Shelby County, an honor that recognizes exceptional dedication to student success and excellence in education.
