Thompson High School recently sent a group of students to compete at the 2026 HOSA State Leadership Conference, held February 25–27 in Montgomery, AL.
The students represented ACS in a variety of competitive events, including:
Samantha Edwards – Medical Math, Top 6 Qualifier in the State
Samantha Johanson – Patient Care Technician
Eileen Luna – Patient Care Technician
Mallory Kimbrough – Pharmacy Science
Sharon Ruiz and Daicy Arroyo – Health Care Display Team
Ashley Rodriguez and Layla James – HOSA Banner Team
These students demonstrated their knowledge and skills in healthcare while gaining experience that will support their future careers.
HOSA – Future Health Professionals is a student-led organization that prepares students for careers in healthcare through education, leadership development, and competitive events. The organization offers more than 60 events in areas such as health science, emergency preparedness, teamwork, and leadership, giving students opportunities to develop professional skills and connect with peers across the state.
