CCA - Champions Craft Academy has been named one of seven host sites for the 2026 Alabama CTE (Career and Technical Education) Career Cluster Spotlight series.
The CTE Career Cluster Spotlight series, coordinated through the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE), selected the Champions Craft Academy (CCA) due to its innovative approach to construction. The Spotlight series annually recognizes outstanding CTE programs in one of the following cluster areas based on the newly-released National Career Clusters® Framework:
Agriculture
Construction
Financial Services
Healthcare & Human Services
Hospitality, Events & Tourism
Marketing & Sales
Supply Chain & Transportation
Host sites alongside the ACS Champions Craft Academy include: Gulf Shores High School – Supply Chain and Transportation; Goshen High School – Agriculture; Russellville High School – Healthcare and Human Services; Deshler Career Technical Center – Financial Services; Sheffield High School – Marketing and Sales; and Fort Payne High School – Hospitality, Events, and Tourism.
The ACS Champions Craft Academy, Alabaster City Schools’ new workforce development center, opened in August 2025. CCA offers career pathways in Welding, Electrical, and Building Science/Construction Technology. Future programs will be added as industry workforce demands are identified. With 100+ industry partners, the CCA has already established itself as a premier workforce development facility, creating lucrative career pathways for students.
