
ACS - Thompson High School has advanced to the 2025 Alabama High School Athletic Association State 7A Football Championship. Alabaster City Schools congratulates Coach Freeman, his staff, the Warrior Football Team, the Marching Southern Sounds, the cheerleaders and all fans for their support throughout the season.
The championship game is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, at 7 p.m. Thompson will face Opelika High School at Protective Stadium in downtown Birmingham.
This marks Thompson’s eighth consecutive appearance in the AHSAA Super 7. ACS encourages the entire community to attend the game and related activities.
Adjusted School Schedules
To allow students, families and employees to travel safely to and from the game, Alabaster City Schools will adjust schedules as follows:
Wednesday, Dec. 3
- All ACS campuses will dismiss *one hour early.
-Each school will communicate specific release times for car riders and bus riders.
-After-school care and extracurricular activities will be canceled.
Thursday, Dec. 4
-All grades will operate on a *two-hour delay.
-Buses will run on a two-hour delayed schedule.
-Breakfast will not be served; lunch will be offered as usual.
-Schools will follow a normal schedule after the delayed start.
-After-school care will operate on its regular schedule.

Gameday tickets: Available at the gate and through Ticketmaster beginning Dec. 3.
Fans are encouraged to purchase through GoFan to avoid additional Ticketmaster fees.
All tickets are digital and must be presented on a smartphone. Paper tickets will not be accepted.
Parking
-Parking is first come, first served. No shuttle service will be provided in 2025.
-Parking near Protective Stadium and the BJCC is available in the blue, orange, purple, yellow, red and pink lots for a fee.

-ADA parking is available in all BJCC lots and garages. A valid state-issued handicap tag is required; fees may apply.
Stadium Entry and Activities
-The Warrior Walk will begin at approximately *5:05 p.m. at the south gate entrance as the team enters the stadium.
-Fans may enter through the South Terrace Gate after the Warrior Walk or through the Northeast Gate for access to visitor seating.
-Thompson will be the visiting team. Fans should sit on the east side behind the visiting team bench.
