ACS – Alabaster City Schools (ACS) is proud to announce the appointment of Mrs. Amanda Harvie as the new principal of Meadow View Elementary School (MVES). Mrs. Harvie brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to student success as she steps into this new leadership role.

Harvie has served in various roles within Alabaster City Schools, most recently as Assistant Principal at Meadow View Elementary. With a background that includes teaching, coaching, and administrative roles across multiple states, she brings a broad perspective and a deep understanding of elementary education.

“Meadow View is such a special place, and I am incredibly honored to continue serving this school community in a new capacity,” Harvie said. “My husband and I are proud residents of Alabaster, and we are raising our children here because of the opportunities and excellence offered in Alabaster City Schools.”

Superintendent Dr. Wayne Vickers praised Harvie’s leadership and dedication.

“Amanda Harvie is a proven leader with strong instructional knowledge and a deep connection to the Meadow View community,” said Dr. Vickers. “We know she will continue the tradition of excellence at MVES."

Harvie's appointment follows the departure of longtime principal Mrs. Michelle Brakefield, who has accepted a new position with the Alabama State Department of Education as a regional literacy leadership specialist.
