ACS - Alabaster City Schools has once again been recognized as one of the Best Communities for Music Education by the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Foundation. This national designation demonstrates ACS’s strong commitment to music education and its overall investment in the arts.
Superintendent Dr. Wayne Vickers has worked to ensure that students across Alabaster City Schools have myriad opportunities to engage in music education.
“This recognition reflects the dedication of our teachers, students, families, and the broader Alabaster community to supporting the arts,” Dr. Vickers said. “Music education plays a vital role in a well-rounded student experience, and we are proud to be acknowledged for creating a culture where music thrives.”
Each year, the NAMM Foundation honors school districts across the United States that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students. Alabaster City Schools earned the distinction through a strong showing of community support, student participation in music classes, quality instruction, investment in facilities, and ongoing program development.
Alabaster’s continued presence on the list showcases a shared belief in the importance of the arts as part of a comprehensive education.
