2022-2023 Character in Action honorees

ACS - Five ACS students were recognized for their outstanding good character in mid-February at a ceremony in Columbiana. The Character in Education Awards - an annual event recognizing students across Shelby County - was emceed by Shelby County District Court Judge Erin Wellbourn. These students were handpicked by teachers, counselors, and administrators for displaying respect, courage, responsibility, friendship, and kindness toward others. The award also honors the parents and caregivers who have raised these students and continue to work hard to support their success.

The Character in Action Award program is a joint partnership among local school systems, the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office, District Court Judge Erin Wellbourn, the Children’s Policy Council, and Pelham’s American Legion Post 555.
