THS - Hundreds of parents and students gathered at Thompson High School (THS) on Monday, October 17, 2022, for the school's annual Senior Night - arranged by the Guidance Office.  This yearly event allows families to hear from school representatives and meet with representatives from higher ed, industry and select branches of the Armed Services.

College Counselor Mrs. Pam Vickers helped kick off the event, which began in the Performing Arts Center.  THS Principal Dr. Wesley Hester also greeted parents and students before the visitors broke off into groups for classroom visits with various college, career, and military representatives.

"The Class of 2023 Senior Night & College/Career/Military Fair was a great success," Mrs. Vickers said. "Seniors and their parents had the opportunity to learn more about the college application and financial aid process, along with visits from more than thirty college representatives, ten career partners, and four branches of the military. In addition, attendees received important details about upcoming senior events, including the Parade of Graduates, Senior Honors Night, Senior Breakfast, and Graduation."

Multiple hallways were used on Senior Night to house representatives from across the metro, state, and Southeast.

"This is one of my favorite nights of the year because of the wealth of information shared," Vickers added. "Senior year comes to life at this event! I enjoy watching the families visit with recruiters and begin the first steps in their college or career journey."
