• Mr. Anthony Kingston is the Chief Technology Officer for Alabaster City Schools. Some of his responsibilities include overseeing the district’s technology program and budget. He works with all school system employees on the use of technology. He collaborates with district leaders, especially the curriculum department, to provide the appropriate technology resources within the classroom for teachers, students, and administrators. He organizes, plans, and presents technology professional development opportunities for school personnel. He helps troubleshoot and maintain district technology resources and equipment.

    Before joining the Alabaster City school system, Mr. Kingston served as the Director of Technology for Jacksonville City Schools for 16 years. He helped expand the technology resources for Jacksonville City. He assisted in the growth of technology integration for teachers and students in the classroom and led a one-to-one student to device initiative for the school system.

    For his work in educational technology and his desire to improve learning and increase access to technology by students and teachers, Mr. Kingston was selected for the 2015 Alabama Department of Education Chiquita Marbury District Technology Coordinator of the Year Award. He also earned the Alabama Educational Technology Association (AETA) 2015 Sally Moore award.

    Mr. Kingston earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Jacksonville State University. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Jacksonville State University as well.

    Mr. Kingston is married, and he and his wife have one daughter.
