• Mr. Anthony Kingston is the Coordinator of Technology for Alabaster City Schools. Some of his responsibilities include overseeing the district’s technology program and budget. He works with all school system employees on the use of technology for their school, department, or area. He works with district leaders, especially the curriculum department, to provide the appropriate technology resources to teachers, students, and administrators for integration within the classroom. He organizes, plans, and presents technology professional for school personnel. He helps troubleshoot and maintain district technology resources and equipment.

    Before joining the Alabaster City school system, Mr. Kingston served as the Director of Technology for Jacksonville City Schools for 16 years. He helped expand the technology resources for the Jacksonville City. He assisted in the growth of technology integration for teachers and students in the classroom, and led a one to one student to device initiative for the school system.

    For his work in educational technology, and his desire to improve learning through the use of technology resources by students and teachers, Mr. Kingston was awarded the 2015 Alabama Department of Education Chiquita Marbury District Technology Coordinator. He was also selected as the Alabama Educational Technology Association (AETA) 2015 Sally Moore winner.

    Mr. Kingston earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Jacksonville State University. He also earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Jacksonville State University.

    Mr. Kingston is married, and he and his wife have one daughter.
