Dr. Wesley Hester is the Assistant Superintendent for Administration for Alabaster City Schools. He works closely with Superintendent Dr. Wayne Vickers and ACS Central Office members across a broad spectrum of district-level administrative duties.
Dr. Hester served as Principal of Thompson High School for eight years prior to his post at Central Office. In addition to school administration, Dr. Hester has also held roles as a classroom teacher, athletic director, and coach.
Dr. Hester has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.Ed.) in Education from Athens State University, a Master’s (M.A.) in Educational Administration, an Educational Specialist degree (Ed.S.) from the University of North Alabama, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Instructional Leadership from the University of Alabama. He is a proud husband and father. Dr. Hester is married to Maridy Hester, and they have two children, Cohen and Mary Ellis.
