Keith D. Long, CMSgt, USAF (ret)

Chief Master Sergeant (CMSgt) Keith D. Long is the Air Force Junior ROTC Aerospace Science Instructor at Thompson High School, Alabaster City Schools.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from American Military University and has completed every level of Professional Military Education (PME) for enlisted personnel including Senior Enlisted Joint PME.

Chief Long has held leadership positions at the squadron and group levels, including Group Superintendent in a deployed combat wing supporting Operation INHERENT RESOLVE.  His other deployment experience includes Operations DESERT STORM, SOUTHERN WATCH, IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, and DELIBERATE RESOLVE.

Chief Long has taught 4 years at the Air Force Security Forces (Police) Academy in San Antonio, Texas and 5 years at the Air Force Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy in Montgomery, Alabama.  Chief Long retired from active duty on 1 September 2020 after serving for over 29 years.
