Many individuals associate the pineapple with tropical islands. However, in the hospitality industry there is a long history of the pineapple symbolizing welcome.
Talofa and Welcome!!
After serving as THS Career Coach for the past 2 years, I will begin this year in a different role as an instructor teaching Hospitality and Tourism Foundations and Family and Consmuer Sciences Foundations. Although this is my 3rd year at Thomspson High School, I'm entering into my 21st year in education. During my 21 years I have taught Family Consumer Sciences Courses at the middle and high school levels, served as an Interventionist for at-risk students, and Career Coach. While teaching, I have also coached cheerleading at the high school, collegiate, and all-star levels. If that wasn’t enough I also manage events ranging from weddings, galas, fashion shows, and various sporting events such as bowl football games and golf tournaments.
My husband, Jay Roberson, and I have 3 children Lia, Tre, and Ava. I love sports, especially Alabama Football (Roll Tide). I grew up a military brat, so traveling is in my blood and meeting new people is a way of life. I love to collect playing cards and jewelry from other countries and shopping.
My passion is helping others realize their potential and assisting them with the process to achieve their goals. I look forward to an exciting year serving Thompson High School as a Hospitality and Tourism Academy Instructor and Varsity Cheer Coach. Go Warriors #WarriorStrong
