Mrs. Ashley Ross
My name is Ashley Ross. I live in Chelsea, AL with my husband Matt, my son, Will (14) and my daughter, Aubrey (10). I received my undergraduate degree from Auburn University in Early Childhood Special Education in December of 1998. I received my Masters degree from UAB in Early Childhood Special Education in 2004. I previously taught for Shelby County at Creek view Elementary in the ECLIPSE program serving both typically developing children and children with special needs. In 2005 I left Creek View to stay at home with my newborn son. While at home with my children I taught at North Shelby Baptist preschool for six years. I went back to the school system with Shelby County in 2012 and taught in a self-contained special education classroom for 3 years. I left the school system in 2015 to work in Early Intervention with The Bell Center for Early Intervention’s center based program. I worked for four years at The Bell Center supporting families with infants-toddler age children who presented with developmental delay or at risk for developmental delay. I assisted families as well as they began the preschool transition process into the school system which they were zoned. I am happy to now be back in the Alabaster school system working with preschool children and their families as they begin the learning process and beginning skills to have them ready for kindergarten. The preschool age group of children is my passion. I strive to watch their emotions, skills, imaginations and friendships grow throughout the school year! I am happy to be with the Alabaster School system.
