Mr. Robert "Marty" Smith

Marty is a 26 plus high school coaching veteran who has coached basketball in college and played baseball and football in college. He has been a Head Coach in Basketball, Football, Tennis, and Girls Soccer on the high school level. He ran the Corporate Partner Program for the Alabama High School Athletic Association and over saw the logistics and running of the First Super 6 Football State Championships in Bryant Denny Stadium on the campus of the University of Alabama and Jordan-Hare Stadium at Auburn University. He also oversaw the Final 48 State Basketball State Championship for two years at the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center. Marty was also the Co-Event Director for the First Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at the Barber's Motor Sports Park for Zoom Motorsports. He also was the Event Director for multiple AMA Motorcycle Races at the Barber's Motor Sports Park.

Marty has been married for 25 plus years to his wife Felicia, Who is an educator as well in the Trussville City Schools System. She has taught 3rd grade for 29 years. (Felica was named one of ten Alumni of the year from Samford University's Orlean Bullard Beason School of Education in 2017). Marty and Felicia have one daughter a graduate of University of Alabama-Birmingham and she teaches/coaches in the Pell City School System. Marty and Felicia have one son who is in his Sophomore year at Martin Methodist College. Marty and family are original members of CrossPoint Baptist Church in Trussville. Marty and his wife have served in various community activities promoting many topics related to education and childhood disabilities.
