Dr. Jeff Atkins is the Executive Director of Pupil Support Services for Alabaster City Schools. He oversees all school buildings, maintenance, capital outlay, custodial, and transportation services.
Dr. Atkins has over 20 years experience in Alabaster as an educator. He served as a history teacher and coach at Thompson High School for six years. He then served six years at Thompson High School as an Assistant Principal. Dr. Atkins moved to Thompson Middle School for two years as principal, before working the last six years as a district administrator for Alabaster City Schools.
He earned his Bachelors of Science from Jacksonville State University. He holds a Masters and an Ed.S in Instructional Leadership from the University of Montevallo. In 2013, Dr. Atkins earned his Doctorate at Samford University in Educational Leadership. He also holds certification as a capital planner and facilities assessor.
Dr. Atkins is married to April Atkins, a 3rd grade teacher at Creek View Elementary. They have two sons, Gunner Christian (8th grade TMS) and Ryder Jackson Atkins (1st at CVES).
