Mrs. Miki Wilson
I graduated from Samford University in 2004 with my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood, Elementary, Collaborative and Special Education with a minor in Spanish. I decided to continue my higher education learning and pursued a master's degree which I received from UAB in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in 2007. I am thrilled to be at TIS teaching 4th grade! I am married to Coach Wilson, who is also in the field of education. We have two children; one in 2nd grade and one in kindergarten. Although I did not grow up in Alabaster, I love our city and schools and am proud to be a Warrior!
This 2017-2017 school year will be my 8th year in public education. I have had amazing opportunities in my career as I’ve worked as a classroom teacher, ESL teacher, and STEAM Lab paraprofessional. I also spent about 5 years working in the non-profit sector for an early childhood education program. I have loved working with children of all different ages in these different settings!
