I was born in Fon du Lac, WI on April 28, 1986. At the age of two, my family moved to Albertville, AL. I graduated with honors from Albertville High School in 2004 and received a jazz percussion scholarship to Snead State Community College. After a year and a semester at the community college, I took a break from school to work full-time for a professional landscaping company. I transferred my college credits to Jacksonville State University in the summer of 2009.
I held an ambassador scholarship for every semester of my enrollment at Jacksonville State University which involved playing guitar for a musical group and maintaining an exemplary GPA. I graduated from college in April 2013 with a bachelor's degree in General Science/Secondary Education. I recently received a traditional master's degree in General Science/Secondary Education from the University of Montevallo.
I am very excited to be a part of the progressive movement in the Alabaster City School System as well as becoming an active member in the community! I will utilize the best of my skills and resources to help every child in my class receive a quality education. I want my students to feel like they are part of a family when they are in my classroom and to know that I not only care about their intellectual development, but I also genuinely want them to succeed in all aspects of their lives. I will provide my students with a challenging but cooperative learning environment that helps them reach their full potential.
