- Thompson Middle
- A Note from Dr. Woodley
-
I am thrilled to begin my fourth year as principal of Thompson Middle School. Thompson Middle provides a wonderful academic experience for students. In addition to great teaching and learning, Thompson Middle School has a variety of extra-curricular activities, events, and clubs for students to be a part of. It is a pleasure working with our awesome faculty and staff. Beyond that, I am honored to work with middle school students. I want each of them to enjoy their time at TMS, gaining academic knowledge and life skills, as well as friendships and experiences to carry with them to high school.
I grew up in Pleasant Grove, Alabama and attended Pleasant Grove High School. I went to the University of Montevallo and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English/Language Arts. I then earned a Masters and an Education Specialist degree in Leadership/Administration from UM. In 2015, I completed and received a doctorate of education at Samford University.
I completed my student teaching at Pelham High School. I taught for one semester at Montevallo High School and 6 years at Thompson High School. I was an assistant principal at Thompson High for five years. I went to Spain Park High for one year and made my way back to Alabaster as principal of Thompson Sixth Grade Center. Two years ago, I became principal at Thompson Middle.
I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband teaches at Thompson High School and my children attend schools in the ACS school district.
