I have been fascinated with Spanish since third grade. In high school, I completed four years of Spanish then lived in Colombia, South America for three months as an exchange student. I became fluent after the first month, speaking and dreaming in Spanish. I returned to the States and studied art and Spanish in college. I graduated with a teaching certificate in both. In 1991 I became a missionary to Honduras, Central America, where I lived for five years. I then returned to the States and married a Honduran. Although we are now divorced, I have two children who are proud to be half Honduran.
I have spent time in Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, and Chile. I am passionate about Spanish and Spanish speakers.
I graduated from Vestavia Hills High School in 1982.
I have a B.A. from the University of Montevallo and a Master's degree from U.A.B.
I am certified to teach Spanish, Art, and ESL.
